The Cinder is an exciting new entrant into the iPhone 6/6+ screen protector space. Made of Corning Gorilla Glass which has been curved on the edges to follow the curved sides of your iPhones touch screen, it is only .2 mm thick and has 9H hardness and an excellent oleophobic coating. There are very few glass screen protectors out there that use Corning Gorilla Glass, even fewer with truly curved edges, and none that I have heard of that are as thin as .2 mm. The Imos Solid EX screen protector, which I reviewed a few days ago, is also made of curved Corning Gorilla Glass, but it is .55 mm thick…so considerably thicker. Finally, the Cinder screen protector has one more trick up its sleeve—it claims to be reusable. According to their product literature, you can take it off your phone and put it back on that phone, or another phone, without any problem. I found that claim to be somewhat questionable, but I tested it and it is indeed true: I completely removed a Cinder screen protector from an iPhone 6 and then reinstalled it, which no ill effects. (I even removed it one more time and installed it on a different iPhone, but that is detailed in a separate review.) So you can, indeed, reuse the Cinder if it is not dirty. And if it is, you can supposedly gently rinse the adhesive side under running water to clean it with no ill effects. I didnt test that part, though!\r

Conclusion: Overall, I am highly impressed with the Cinder screen protector. It is a new product, and it is impossible to predict how it will wear over time. They initially had a problem with their adhesive in some of their pre-production samples which resulted in problems with installation bubbles. However, they seem to have completely solved this problem as the latest screen protector sample I have from them—the one featured in this video—has no such issues. Install was an absolute pleasure: fast, easy, and no pesky bubbles. \r
