Animals take on human characteristics in this good-natured comedy. Cats dive right in at an old swimming hole; a dog steals from a pie wagon that is driven by good old Farmer Al Falfa. If there's any life lesson that can be learned from this film, it is "Never trust a cat." Poor Farmer Al Falfa is driving the wagon when a dog breaks in and steals a pie. The dog is so happy with himself that he shares "his wealth" with all the cats in the neighborhood. The only cat that Farmer Al Falfa catches in the act turns on him, too. What's a poor pieman to do?
