Top 5 Customization Widgets - May new

2017-09-23 0

It has been a while since weve brought you a Top Widgets of the month video, but now its back and these apps you surely dont want to miss. Like before, theyve been selected according to three things: the amount of customization options, how functional it can be, and finally how good it looks on your phone. Lets start from the bottom.\r
\r
==================================\r
\r
5. Simi Folder: \r
\r
Coming in at number 5, we bring to you Simi Folder. The icon might be a bit confusing and once you open the app, well it doesnt really help either. But I will, what this widget aims to achieve is to create the best folder experience youve ever seen. You can have horizontal folders, vertical folders, even ones that resemble the iOS style. Simi Folder helps you stay clear of those boring launcher folders, allowing you to add not only app shortcuts, but other shortcuts as well. Two things that set this widget apart is its integration into apps such as UCCW and Desktop VisualizeR, so no more worrying about creating odd looking setups. And finally its ability to be customized, whether you want simply text, icons, or a range of colourful backgrounds, Simi Folder has it all.\r
\r
4. Missed It!: \r
\r
Not many people have heard of this app, but MissedIt! Sneaks in to take fourth place. Boring notifications are a thing of the past with this widget, and this means all notifications. UCCW always lets me down as you limited are to display only 3 notifications (mail, missed calls, and mail), but with MissedIt!, the possibilities are endless. Whatsapp, Twitter, you name it, if it can receive notifications, then this app can show it to you. Whats more, there are many ways to customize the way you can view your notifications. It looks amazing on either your lock screen or homescreen, and apps with notifications can be opened when tapping on the widget. MissedIt! wants you to view all your notifications, in the best way possible.\r
\r
3. Dash Clock (for Android 4.2+): \r
\r
In fourth place is Dash Clock. Dash Clock does everything for you in a I aint got time for that style. I fell in love with this ever since drastic screen setup switching and just wanted a simple widget that still gave me everything I needed, giving me that Holo look that weve grown to love. Once added, you have the option of the just Jelly Bean clock, but digging deeper you can see there are many more options available. Mail, weather, song-checker, and even tasker integration can be displayed with ease on your homescreen. Dash Clock is a widget for someone who wants all their info in one place, but doesnt want to waste hours on setting up.\r
\r
2. WidgetLocker: \r
\r
Widgetlocker - The Complete Guide: \r
\r
Coming in at number two we have WidgetLocker. If your phone has a lock screen, you need this app. This app basically turns your lock screen into a home screen, as now you have a grid, with options of adding any type of app shortcut or widget. You can have your own custom slider, as well as having the option of changing the way you can unlock your phone. We even have a complete guide to this amazing app, and many themes can be found on the web. Seeing as your lock screen is the screen you will see most of all, WidgetLocker is highly recommended for any Android phone.\r
\r
1. Zooper Widget (Pro): Free: \r
\r
Now for the moment youve all been waiting for, and coming in at number 1 we have Zooper Widget. When anyone thinks of a customizable information homescreen widget, they think UCCW. Now dont get me wrong, UCCW is great, but if you looking for an alternative, try Zooper. It updates faster, has more info options to choose from, comes with built in fonts and themes, and the list goes on. Its still not able to add custom images like in UCCW, and if you want to save your setup you need the paid version, but if you can look past these, then Zooper is the way to go. \r
