Question Time audience member berates 'totalitarian' EU in swipe at 'WHINGING Remoaners'
A PASSIONATE Brexiteer has taken aim at the “totalitarian” Brussels bloc before blasting “whinging Remoaners” attempting to “negotiate for” Theresa May. The Question Time audience member said there was “no future” inside the European Union and questioned whether it was capable of negotiating at all.She said she had been doing her “homework” on the EU for the past 10 years, leading her to vote Leave last year.The woman said: “The EU is basically a totalitarian, socialist bureaucracy – top-down regulation, there’s no future there.“I think the European countries realise what the bottom line of England is – control of our borders and control of our legal system. “What I ask myself, having worked in Paris years ago, does the EU – Brussels – actually do negotiation?“We’re trying to negotiate for her, all this public discourse and comments.”BBC host David Dimbleby then put it to the audience member that “it’s a democracy” and that people were “entitled” to discuss Brexit.The woman replied: “Yes, I know, but the point is to a certain extent, some of the negatives, Remoaners – not all Remainers are Remoaners – but there’s a certain element that cannot get to grips with the future.
“We’ve got to pull together look forward and see the opportunities – it’s taking a positive view rather than a negative view of life. I’m tired of the whinging about everything.“I’ve only got one life – I’m going to get on with it thank you very much.”The comments come ahead of Theresa May’s landmark speech in Florence, Italy, on Friday.She is expected to challenge the rest of Europe to display the "vision and creativity" required to build a successful Brexit that serves future generations on both sides of the Channel.In a major speech tackling doom-mongers at home as well as abroad, the Prime Minister will also forecast a "bright future" for both Britain and the European Union in a bold “new partnership”.. 00FastNews.
