Uh oh, Lady Gaga has reportedly been hospitalized for fibromyalgia related pain, and has to cancel her scheduled show in Rio.
The singer recently opened up about suffering from the disorder in previews to her upcoming documentary, and Tweeted, “I was taken to the hospital it’s not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour. I’m in severe pain. I’m in good hands with the very best of doctors.”
It’s good to hear Gaga is getting the medical attention she needs, but that doesn’t fix the fact that it’s causing her to cancel performances. Her team sent out a statement announcing her pain, saying “as a result, she sadly must withdraw from the Rock in Rio performance. Lady Gaga is under the care of expert medical professionals.”
Gaga was hoping part of her Netflix documentary, “Five Foot Two,” would help raise awareness for fibromyalgia, and we’re betting her millions of fans are briefing themselves further about the disorder.
