Ann Coulter slammed President Trump on Twitter over mixed signals from the Trump administration on the DACA program.
Amid mixed signals from the White House on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, conservative commentator Ann Coulter mockingly said that President Trump should change his 2020 slogan.
Coulter tweeted Wednesday, "Possible 2020 slogan: 'I broke my promises, betrayed my friends & used my office to help my family, but, hey -- at least I'm not Hillary!'"
The DACA program offers protection against deportation to individuals brought into the U.S. as children.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Tuesday that the program is being "rescinded." However, hours later, Trump posted a tweet, asking Congress to "legalize DACA."
"Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do)," Trump said. "If they can't, I will revisit this issue!" Many of Trump's supporters favor stricter immigration policies and cite the issue as among the reasons they voted for the president.
Coulter has also slammed Trump lately over slow progress on the construction of the border wall with Mexico.
"Today's BORDER WALL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Miles completed yesterday-- Zero; Miles completed since Inauguration-- Zero. NEXT UPDATE TOMORROW," Coulter tweeted on Wednesday.
