Day 21: Today’s activity of our 365 Days: 365 Activities is disrupted by some bad news about our campervan... Not everything can go smoothly on New Zealand’s Biggest Gap Year.
About this video:
A day we would rather forget. Although today’s activity on New Zealand’s BIGGEST Gap Year is meant to be checking out the Hamilton Gardens while our campervan is getting repaired, we receive a phone call from the mechanic telling us that the problem is much worse than we thought...
Nevertheless, if you can learn from our mistakes and make sure that you don’t buy a crappy campervan in New Zealand, then at least that is something. We name and shame the companies involved who failed to do their jobs in inspecting our campervan prior to us buying it. Make sure you avoid them too, if you’re buying a campervan in New Zealand!
Although we followed the right vehicle-buying processes, unfortunately, it was the companies that let us down. We recommend that you still follow the steps of the car-buying process that we outline on our website when buying a car or a campervan in New Zealand: http://www.backpackerguide.nz/buying-car-new-zealand-step-step/
