Learning that Riah is carrying a beacon meant to signal the main SDF fleet to invade Earth, Sonic Sr II and the new Maverick Hunters devises a plan to use the beacon to lure the SDF fleet right into the still operational AATIS guns. Unfortunately, the plan goes awry when Riah escapes and destroys the AATIS guns. But before he can kill himself to trigger the beacon, he is stopped by the Zero Mk. 4 who orders Sonic Sr II and Maverick Hunter X Mk. 3 to kill Riah while the UNSC. The main SDF (as Mavericks) arrives and the Olympus Mons destroys UNSA headquarters, killing Admiral Raines but not before the UNSC Infinity fires the MAC Cannon at Olympus Mons with the call of Sonic Sr II, damaging it. With no other options, Sonic Sr II decides to use the opportunity to board and commandeer the Olympus Mons. Sonic Sr II sends Zero Mk. 4 to infiltrate the ship Olympus Mons and assassinate Admiral Kotch which he avenged the death of Admiral Raines and destruction of the entire UNSA fleet. Sonic Sr II then arrived and told Zero Mk. 4 that he avenged both Raines' death and the UNSA fleet's destruction and has the Olympus Mons travel back to Mars, where he intends to use the ship to destroy the SDF's orbital shipyard and cripple their fleet in return while the UNSC and the new Maverick Hunters liberate Earth from SDF (as Mavericks).
