It is approximately 35 km southeast of Nagoya city. Nishio city of Aichi prefecture where three sides are surrounded by gentle hilly land, the other one faces Mikawa Bay. It has many shrines and temples and others, and since then in 1995 it was accepted as a nationwide Kyoto conference, and since then it began to name "Mikawa's Kyoto, Nishio".
