Manila schools and homes were evacuated on Friday afternoon after a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck the Philippines’ Luzon Island.
Data from the USGS showed that the earthquake was centered on the town of Tuy around 60 miles south of Manila. Filipino social media reported that tremors from the quake, which was 107 miles deep, lasted several seconds.
