Evacuation orders were issued for the Shiga and Fukui prefectures in Japan on August 7 as Typhoon Noru continued to bring heavy rain and flooding.
The cities of Nagahama and Tsuruga were both issued with evacuation orders because of rivers flooding, according to Japan Times. Japan’s Meteorological Agency warned several areas in the storm’s path to be alert for the threat of landslides, strong winds and high waves.
