I think Atlanta is a comedic masterpiece with clever social undertones. The show is a pretty strange mix of humor and really heavy themes. In this video, I want to explore that further. How can something be so funny and filled with sorrow at the same time? Donald Glover and his all black writing staff lead us into an understanding of what makes something funny, and the lasting impact humor has on us.

As I researched this concept, I discovered Dr. Peter McGraw, a psychologist and college professor who wrote The Humor Code, a book detailing his worldwide journey to understanding humor across cultural boundaries.

Lastly, I want to explore how the humor in Atlanta connects to the lasting appeal of the show.

Thank you so much for watching. Please consider subscribing to the channel and supporting us on Patreon so we can continue to bring you bigger and better work.
