Intense heat forced Iraqis displaced from Mosul and now living in camps to face further hardships as temperatures reached 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit), according to this video taken on July 29.

This video was shared by Iraqi journalist Ahmed al-Mallah showing the refugee camp of Jadaa Six in south Mosul, and the difficulties displaced persons endure during high temperatures and sand storms.
Jadaa camp was set up last May and can fit up to 6,000 tents, according to Iraqi sources.

The United Nations reported that 846,252 people are verified as currently displaced from Mosul and surrounding areas. Of them, 319,000 were said to live in camps around Mosul. Credit: Facebook/Ahmed al-Mallah via Storyful
