A family in Dublin had a pleasant surprise when out walking along Howth Harbor on July 30, after they were waved at by a friendly seal.
Dubliner Simon McGarr said that when out walking with his family, they came across a man who was clipping a fish into pieces and throwing them to the seal.
The seal was so pleased with being given bites of food that it waved back to shore in a show of gratitude.
The man told McGarr that the seal had previously taken a bang to its head when a boat ran it over, but that it had recovered well. Credit: Simon McGarr via Storyful
