The dramatic final of Season 3 stretched the fans to the torture with tragic twists. Flash can save his fiancee Iris West and defeat Savitar Savitar, but in their place another team member has to die - H.R. (Tom Cavanagh). It is a happy ending. The victory over Savitar creates a hole in the space-time continuum that threatens the city. Barry decides to take the place of Savitar in hyperspace and to sacrifice themselves.

Das dramatische Finale von Season 3 spannte die Fans mit tragischen Twists auf die Folter. Flash kann zwar seine Verlobte Iris West retten und Bösewicht Savitar besiegen, doch an ihrer Stelle muss ein anderes Teammitglied sterben – H.R. (Tom Cavanagh). Dabei scheint es für einen kurzen Moment so, als gäbe es trotz des traurigen Opfers ein Happy End. Durch den Sieg über Savitar entsteht jedoch ein Loch im Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum, das die Stadt bedroht. Barry beschließt, den Platz von Savitar im Hyperraum einzunehmen und sich selbst zu opfern.
