Donald Trump attended Friday the 'Bastille Day' parade in Paris which commemorates the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, an event that marked a turning point in the French Revolution. President Trump attended the event as French President Emmanuel Macron’s guest of honor,
since this year's celebration also commemorates the 100th anniversary of the U.S. entry into the first world war.
Eight U.S. planes joined the parade, along with a detachment of 145 troops on the ground. Trump and Macron witnessed the parade from a grandstand on the 'Place de la Concorde.'
