Décidée à rejoindre l’armée, Cole, jeune idéaliste, se retrouve affectée dans une prison militaire de haute sécurité. Entre les détenus hostiles, les coéquipiers agressifs, et les règles à faire respecter, son quotidien se révèle vite rude et violent. Sa bulle d’oxygène, c’est l’étrange relation de proximité qu’elle commence à nouer avec l’un des prisonniers. Mais à trop vouloir franchir les limites, Cole joue dangereusement avec le feu…
