Apparently, your gender and political affiliation can provide insight into your tipping habits. According to a new report from CreditCards.com, the best tippers tend to be men, Republicans, and Northeasterners. These groups generally leave a median tip of about 20 percent when dining out. The study found that women, Democrats, Southerners, and those paying via cash leave a smaller tip around 15-16 percent. "Generally it all comes down to income. The more money you have the more likely you are to leave a little extra tip on the table," Matt Schulz, senior analyst at CreditCards.com, told USA Today.
