Smoke Plume From Brush Fire Turns Sky Dark Near Kennedy Space Center

A massive plume of smoke filled the sky near the Kennedy Space Center on July 10 after lightning caused a brush fire nearby.

According to the US Fish and Wildlife Service Fire Management Division, the brush fire grew to 50 acres, while firefighters proactively burned brush around the initial fire to contain it.
