Huge smoke clouds from a series of wildfires filled the skies over southern British Columbia over the weekend of July 8 and 9.

This footage, taken from the 108 Mile Ranch in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia, shows a glimpse of the heavy smoke. An evacuation order was issued for the community, along with all properties west of 108 Mile Ranch, according to GlobalNews.ca. The fire had spread to 3,200 hectares by Saturday.

The ongoing wildfires in British Columbia were spurred on by high humidity levels, hot weather and a lack of rainfall in the province. More than 1000 firefighters have been deployed to tackle the fires, CTV News reported. Credit: Instagram/theoverlanddream via Storyful
