Solar Light’s SPF-290AS Sunscreen Protection Factor Analyzer is designed as a fully integrated turnkey system to meet ISO24443, with direct download to the ISO spreadsheet. This self contained desktop unit is supplied with a Validation Kit enabling the operator to perform comprehensive testing of the analyzer to ensure accurate spectral and signal dynamic range performance. A complete computer system with monitor and WinSPF operating software is also included with the standard model. It features a complete on-line help system, audio-visual training aids, COLIPA spreadsheet, fully functional toolbar, single step control icons, and graphical and tabular data display formats. It utilizes all Windows® multi-tasking features.

The SPF-290AS represents the industry standard for affordable, efficient In-Vitro analysis of liquids, lotions, creams, sprays, gels, powders, and emulsions. In addition, it also performs Ultraviolet Protection Factor analysis on textiles, and sprectral transmission analysis on materials, making it one of the most versatile designs on the market.

To begin immediate testing at system delivery, a PMMA plate holder, along with a sample set of three PMMA plates and a box of 25 syringes for sample application are also provided. Solar Light can supply additional PMMA plates and 3M™ Transpore™ tape optionally as required for your specific application.

Please note that to label in accordance with ISO2443 in-vitro UVA requirements, a Pre-Irradiation Solar Simulator is also required. Solar Light manufactures the industry standard Pre-Irradiation Simulators utilized by the world’s most prestigious companies and laboratories to irradiate PMMA plates during in-vitro broad spectrum sunscreen testing. These simulators are available between 150-1000 watt outputs, from a 2cm spot beam up to 6x6” square beam patterns, with custom variations also offered. The kits come complete with everything required for testing, including the advanced simulators and power supplies, multi-functional data logging radiometers, NIST-traceable sensors, and PMMA plates.
