An ancient giant species of crocodilian that was estimated to be over 39ft in length and used huge teeth for crushing bone has been discovered in Madagascar. Razanandrongobe sakalavae represents the oldest and largest known representative of Notosuchia, a type of crocodilian that lived during the Cretaceous period.
