Bill and Hillary Clinton drew cheers from the audience at the Lincoln Center in New York on Sunday, July 2, as they attended a performance of Oslo, a new play by JT Rogers.

The story of the play centers around the back-channel negotiations that led to the Oslo Peace Accords between Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization in 1993.

According to the Lincoln Center’s website, Oslo is a “a deeply personal story set against a complex historical canvas, a story about the individuals behind world history and their all too human ambitions.” The Clintons might well be able to relate, though they do not feature as characters.
