Although he enjoyed a certain popularity in his day - proof of it are the sheet music covers -, very little information is available about him today. It is known that he performed alternately with Fletcher Henderson in the Roseland Ballroom in New York (Broadway at 50th St.). He recorded only one single disc in 1926, of which this great performance is one side.
