A German football club celebrated the country’s legalization of same-sex marriage on June 30 by raising a rainbow flag outside its ground in Berlin.
German MPs voted 393 to 226 in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage. Chancellor Angela Merkel, while supporting the introduction of the bill, and allowing her party’s delegates a free vote, voted against.
