On Monday the Supreme Court announced that it would hear the case on President Trump's travel ban in October. The president responded to the news in a statement. "Today’s unanimous Supreme Court decision is a clear victory for our national security. It allows the travel suspension for the six terror-prone countries and the refugee suspension to become largely effective,” “As President, I cannot allow people into our country who want to do us harm. I want people who can love the United States and all of its citizens, and who will be hardworking and productive.” The court also approved a variation of the travel ban that will be in place until a permanent ruling in the fall. The temporary ban allows anyone with "bona fide relationship", either with a person or an entity (like a university), access to the United States, even if they are from one of banned countries.
