Liftoff! Launch of NASA's CRS-11 mission on SpaceX Falcon 9

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- NASA and SpaceX successfully launched the eleventh Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-11) mission from KSC's Launch Complex 39A. The mission lifted off on a Dragon spacecraft perched atop its Falcon 9 rocket at 5:07 p.m. EDT (21:07 GMT) on Saturday, June 2, 2017. It marked the first reuse of a Dragon pressure vessel (previously used on CRS-4 in 2014) and the 100th mission that has launched from LC-29A. Nearly 6,000 lbs worth of cargo were launched in the CRS-11 Dragon.
