A Women group of ethnic Chin tribe of Zomi, has began a three-months long tailoring and knitting training in New Delhi. According the chairwoman of the Zomi Women Union, the training, which started in June, is aimed to empower the Burmese women as a whole and the Zomi women in particular. While the first batch of the training includes the Zomi women, the next batches will be open up for all Burmese women folks, said the chairwoman.
