JOHN MCCRIRICK will always stand out from the crowd thanks to his flamboyant style, however if it wasn’t for his elaborate outfits fans could have been forgiven for not spotting him at Ascot Racecourse yesterday.
The horse racing pundit looked very different as he arrived for day one of Royal Ascot alongside his wife Jenny.
The 77-year-old showed off his streamlined figure as he energetically posed for photographers in a pale grey suit.
Keeping his black top hat firmly on, the former Celebrity Big Brother star added an eye-catching patterned shirt, his trademark cord necktie while sporting an orange flower in his buttonhole.
Clutching a chunky cigar, John waived a tiny model of himself as he posed with his spouse of more than 40 years.
According to The Sun, the television personality has shed a whopping three-and-a-half stone after giving up roast potatoes.
He reportedly insisted that he was “not ill” to the the publication but had simply taken up his first ever diet.
John is said to have started eating healthy after ballooning to 19 stone, and has now cut out chips and cakes.
His outing comes just months after he was given a shock makeover on Channel 5 show Celebrity 100% Hotter.
Following in the footsteps of the likes of Chloe Khan and Kim Woodburn, John was given expert styling tips which sparked a huge response on Twitter.
After hours of work, people were astounded by his big reveal, which saw him dressed all in white with a medallion and Panama hat.
