Sudden NYC Storm Blows Construction Barriers Into Traffic

A flash flood warning was issued for New York City as a short afternoon thunderstorm rolled through the tri-state area. on June 19.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for all of New York City, Jersey City and Newark until 5:45 p.m.

In New York City, wind from the storm blew construction barriers into traffic on 57th Street by Columbus Circle, hitting some cars in the road, but not causing any damage. Shortly after, people in the area helped to clear the barriers out of the road. Credit: Twitter/Mitchell Geller via Storyful
