Protesters assembled outside the State Capitol building in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on 16 June after a jury acquitted officer Jeronimo Yanez of all charges related to the June 2016 fatal shooting of Philando Castile.

Later they marched along the I-94, blocking traffic. In this video the various stages of the protest can be seen. The marchers can be heard chanting “our streets” as the protests continued into the night.

Castile, 32, was shot dead while sitting in the front seat of a vehicle on July 6, in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. The aftermath was livestreamed and uploaded to Facebook by his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds, whose young daughter was in the backseat. Credit: Tyler Newman via Storyful
