Porcupines are certainly intriguing creatures, but one curious dog recently learned the animals are best observed from a distance.
Porcupines are certainly intriguing creatures, but one curious dog recently learned the animals are best observed from a distance.
WMUR reports that a passerby spotted the dog Saturday morning along Route 104 in Danbury, New Hampshire.
Upon noticing the poor pup’s face was covered in porcupine quills, the Good Samaritan sought veterinary assistance.
The Daily Mail notes that removing the quills took about 4 hours, but, when the staffers were done, they were still facing one rather significant problem.
The dog’s owner was unknown.
Area authorities posted a picture of the animal on its Facebook page and, on Monday, the canine and its owner were together again.
