Kelly Hoppen MBE is an interior designer, author and proprietor of Kelly Hoppen Interiors. From 2013 to 2015, she was a "Dragon" on BBC Two's Dragons' Den. AND YOUR WORST?Years ago, we used to go to Thailand on a family holiday. We always visited the same places, and had an amazing time exploring and relaxing.One year I got really severe food poisoning – it was horrific. We had to spend an extra week in Thailand as I was physically unable to move.Sienna, Savannah and Natasha loved it as they ended up missing school but I was not so pleased.
FAVOURITE SOUVENIR?I have brought home some amazing keepsakes but when we were in Mauritius I bought a pearl.Just one but it was so perfect and eye-catching. When I returned home, my friend Stephen Webster made a stunning ring for me out of it.Every time I look down it brings back fond memories. BEST BOOK? One of the best was Sharon Osbourne’s autobiography: Unbreakable.After being glued to it for about a week I actually ended up going to an event with her. I admired her sheer determination to stand by her husband and the understanding she had of being a mother and the stories of her father – just everything.HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME ON HOLIDAY? I spend my time on holiday doing whatever I want and I think that is the best part about it. I love the fact there is nowhere to be until you feel like it, no rush, no urgency, just calm.When I am away, I like to train every day – and really love to train in different places.Sometimes it’s outside, a run along the beach or a hike up a mountain. Other times it is in a gym. I love to eat delicious food, read great books, laugh and spend quality time with friends and family. WHERE WOULD YOU REVISIT?Capri, Mauritius, Maldives, Africa, Tuscany – the list could go on for days and days. I would love to go and explore Japan, so I shall be adding that to the bucket list.WHERE NEXT?I am heading to Lake Como with friends.
