A 25-year-old Palestinian man was killed on June 5 after Israeli forces opened fire as protesters were throwing stones near the Israeli border east of Khuza’a.

Fadi Al-Najjar was a father to five children, resided in Bani Suheila and worked as a traffic policeman, according to local journalist Hassan Eslayeh. A funeral will take place on June 6 at Hamza mosque in Beni Suhaila.

At least seven others were reported wounded in the incident. Reuters quoted an Israeli military spokeswoman as saying warning shots were fired by Israeli forces after dozens of Palestinians had gathered at the border fence and were trying to damage it.
