The world’s first virtual train track made its debut in Zhuzhou City, China. The Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) uses sensors to run along a white dotted line. It uses tires, so it resembles a bus more than a train. The ART can carry up to 307 passengers and its battery life allows it to go over 15 miles on a 10-minute charge. A 4-mile “track” will be built in Zhuzhou City and is expected to open in 2018.
