Hillary Clinton has offered words of support to London Mayor Sadiq Khan and his handling of Saturday’s terror attack in the city.

Hillary Clinton has offered words of support to London Mayor Sadiq Khan and his handling of Saturday’s terror attack in the city, reports the Washington Examiner.
Speaking at a Monday fundraiser, she said, “This is a time for us to reach out to the world, to understand more about what is happening. Not just in our own country, but indeed across the globe. It is a time for steady determined leadership like we are seeing from London's mayor and local authorities."
Clinton further commented, “This is not a time to lash out, to incite fear, and use trash talk and terror for political gain."
Though, in the latter comment, she did not mention President Trump specifically, it does seem to reference his tweets regarding Khan’s attack response.
On June 4, Trump wrote, “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”
The following day he tweeted, “Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his ‘no reason to be alarmed’ statement. MSM [mainstream media] is working hard to sell it!”
The New York Times reports, Trump "mischaracterized" Khan’s use of the phrase “no reason to be alarmed” in both tweets. Though the mayor did use those words, he was speaking about the increase in police presence following the attack, not the act of terrorism itself.
