New York Mayor Bill de Blasio reached a $85.2 billion budget with the City Council for the upcoming fiscal year on Friday. The budget for the fiscal year 2018, which begins in July 2018, is 14 percent higher than when the Democrat first took office three years ago. The budget does not include funding for lawyers for illegal immigrants, who are convicted of serious crimes. While the City Council wanted to provide lawyers for the group, the mayor did not.
