Arianespace successfully launched two telecommunications satellites, the ViaSat-2 and the EUTELSAT 172B, on Thursday, marking the company’s third mission to space in less than a month.
The satellites will be used to improve broadband coverage with the ViaSat-2 focusing on North America and Europe, and EUTELSAT 172B on the Asia-Pacific region. The satellites were launched into orbit abroad an Ariane 5 rocket from French Guiana.
