Severe storms in the Hudson Valley, New York, left thousands without power on Wednesday, May 31. Power was restored by Thursday morning, according to a report.

The storms also generated a tornado warning, but there were no reports of an actual tornado. Several in the Poughkeepsie area spotted a swirling wall cloud, and images of it were posted to social media. High winds and large hail were reported, and the storms brought down trees and power lines.
