Robert Pattinson lost out on the best actor award at Cannes as Joaquin Phoenix scooped the gong for his role in You Were Never Really Here.
The Good Time star lost out to Phoenix at the 70th edition of the festival which saw Ruben Ostlund’s The Square take home the prestigious Palme d’Or.
Pattinson had been tipped to scoop the Best Actor gong for his portrayal of aimless bank robber Connie Nikas in the film directed by sibling duo Benny and Josh Safdie.
