Doctors in Jisr al-Shughur in the northern Idlib province held a protest on May 28 calling on the Turkish government to re-open border crossings in order to evacuate patients in need of more sophisticated medical care.
The doctors at al-Rahma Hospital, located in the northern rebel-held Idlib province, treat thousands of civilians in the Jisr al-Shughur District, which is targeted on a near-daily basis by various aerial bombardments, including artillery shelling, mortar fire, barrel bombings and missile strikes.
