Former NFL Players Donate Brains to Investigate Chronic traumatic encephalopothy (CTE) and Concussions

THirty former pro-NFL players are donating their brains to aworthy cause: fighting disease according to men's health, the players--among them Randy Cross, Keith Sims, and Shawn Springs--have agreed to donate their brains to the investigation of Chronic traumatic encephalopothy, also known as CTE. CTE is a rare condition resulting from repeated head trauma. Football players and boxers are considered particularly at risk. Researchers hope to use these and other donated brains to construct a diagnostic test to help diagnose CTE.
