Flash flooding and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued in Charleston, South Carolina on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 23.
A tornado warning was also issued by the National Weather Service in Charleston, though the warning expired at around 7:15 pm while the flash flood warning was set to continue until 11:15 pm.
Multiple Charleston streets were cordoned off due to rising floodwater.
