The Syrian regime is back in full control of Homs for the first time since 2011, following the last in a series of evacuations of rebels and their families.
The final phase of an evacuation that has been ongoing for weeks left the city’s besieged neighborhood of al-Waer over the weekend of May 20 and 21, as part of a resettlement agreement. A total of 3,000 people were relocated.
