The Appalachian State volleyball team defeated Troy 3-1 in the first round of the Sun Belt Volleyball Championship Tournament.
Jess Keller, the Sun Belt Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year, paced the Mountaineers offensively with 23 kills. Keller is now just three kills away from cracking the all-time top 10 list for kills in a career.
