More than a foot of snow fell in the Summit County, Colorado, town of Silverthorne on Thursday, May 18. The National Weather Service forecasted two feet could fall, at rates of two to three inches per hour, in many of the Colorado mountain towns.
Closures on Interstate 70 delayed traffic from Denver, according to the Summit Daily.
