A wildfire burning in Glades County, Florida, nearly took over over a ranch pasture on May 13 but was stopped by a fire break. As of May 17, the Crane Island wildfire was reported to be 90 percent contained.
The wildfire burned through more than 4,400 acres, according to reports. The blaze was first reported on May 13, and the drought and high winds fueled the flames.
This fire was taken at a ranch west of Lake Okeechobee. After firefighters used bulldozers to establish a control line, the fire was stopped before it took over the pasture.
