Chris Soules has officially entered a plea of not guilty in the fatal car accident that left one man dead in Buchanan County Iowa.
The 35-year-old Bachelor star waived his right to an open court arraignment, asking the Iowa court to accept his plea for a speedy trial and for a trial date to be set.
A judge now has to accept his written arraignment or Chris will have still have to attend his scheduled open court arraignment, which is currently scheduled for May 23rd.
Just a day before, a judge dismissed the 35-year-olds request to have the felony charge dropped, with the judge calling the motion procedurally moot.
24 hours later, Soules requested that the State file a Bill of Particulars, specifying what part of the Iowa code he violated or did not satisfy. This is a standard play so he can prepare an adequate defense.
Chris is charged with leaving the scene of an accident where a death occurred following an accident on April 24th during which the pickup he was driving collided with a tractor.
