President Donald Trump reportedly asked former FBI Director James Comey to drop an investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn during a meeting in February, according to a memo written by Comey, which was obtained by The New York Times. Trump told Comey during a February 15 meeting. “He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.” Flynn was fired on February 13, after it became publicly known that he had lied to Vice President Pence, saying he had not spoken with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak about sanctions on Russia prior to Trump’s inauguration.
