Adam Nimoy, Leonard Nimoy’s son celebrates 50 years of star trek with “For The Love Of Spock" Documentary
Growing up in a household with a celebrity parent may not be what everyone thinks it might be. Rarely seeing them and always being a part of the spectacle in public can take a tole on someone. This was the case for Adam Nimoy early in life. Growing up as the son of Spock on Star Trek he admits he and his father experienced some rough patches in their relationship.
Turning things around in recent years Adam turned his experience in television and film into something special for his father with the forthcoming documentary “For The Love Of Spock.” Talking about the doc Adam opens up about his father’s recent death and how the idea for the project changed slightly once he was gone. Raising the money on Kickstarter he talks about the pressure to finish things up by the 50 anniversary of Star Trek, something he was successfully able to do with the Friday premiere.
Getting more in depth into the relationship with his father Adam admits that his dad’s role as Spock turned him away from the show he was excited about from the start. He also opens up about the structure of the film as his father wanted the focus to be on the character of Spock and less about his personal addition to the show.
